Four of us stopped for breakfast. The oatmeal was cold. The eggs were cold. The service was a big slow. And two utensils had dried food on them. The pecan-banana pancakes were good and the bacon was good. My guess is that there are better breakfast places in Las Cruces.

It's a Denny's. What can you say about it? It's always open and you can get Moons Over My Hammy. It's 2 stars... Whatever. Don't go in expecting it to be some sort of special, super awesome Denny's, 'cuz it's not.

We were driving through the state on our way across the country and stopped here for a late breakfast. Seriously you couldn't find less friendly people. The locals STARE at you, which is really creepy. We weren't dressed weird or acting odd or anything, but whenever I looked around there was people giving us a mean look. From the looks of the clientele there are ALOT of old people in this town. The staff wasn't much better, one of the bus boys was nice, and smiled and said good morning, but the server looked bothered and rushed to seat and serve us. I couldn't explain it. There was a creepy vibe to the place. The food was ok, but when I asked to get my hashbrowns covered n'smothered she had no clue what I was talking about. When I explained she said she'd have to ask the cook. What's so crazy about gravy and onions on hashbrowns?!? We got the bill and left. Seriously, skip this town altogether.

Came for a Ruben sandwich, which they didn't have. Ok! Waiter was friendly but the ambience was not. Employees were having personal chats and were a bit too easy going around ud. Tables were dirty and the most annoying thing was even though the place was empty, everyone was busy with something else and let me wait for a few moments to pay. The food was also mediocre but I forgot that Dennys isn't the greatest place to eat anyway.

I'm a fan of breakfast at Denny's, but skip this place! The waitress was lousy. Didn't keep our coffee full. There was a rotten grape in our fruit bowl on the top (can't she look to make sure they're all good??!!) Didn't bring butter to go with the English muffin, didn't ask if we'd like salsa, etc (which she did ask to booths nearby)-- need I go on? Oh-- I asked her to lower the blinds as the sun was in my eyes-- which she didn't & never came by to explain --- she totally skipped bringing our receipt or the neighboring booths. We all lined up at the front, and the poor hostess had to scrabble to fix the mess (good job, hostess!) Go to another place, at least till they can train their staff. (I gave one star for good food & another for the hostess.)

This is the worst place to go. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service is bad. It is really really bad. The food is bad . Quality of food is bad and the chicken is not properly cooked. The waiter just brought the check even before we finish one fourths of our food. We ordered shakes and smoothies , we got them late and the food we ordered came late too and we haven't been offered water before we get our smoothie and shakes. The serving is really bad. I would have given zero stars for this place but I don't have that option. I have to leave all the chicken in my order and the fries are also very bad.

I drove to this Denny's from El Paso with my mom and BFF to meet a friend driving through from CA. While the food was good and our waitress, Cheyenne, were great, the food service moved at a snail's pace! It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food and there was only one cook working in the kitchen! If you have a lot of time for a leisurely meal, this is the Denny's for you! If you're in a hurry, I'd say eat somewhere else.

My husband and I stopped in today around 5am for breakfast. We found our table dirty with food crumbs and three pieces of wadded up paper on it. The server tried to put the condiment caddy on top of it all without cleaning the table. Yuk. I ordered pie and when the same server came by later with my husband's food, he actually looked at the husband and said "Wow, she ate that pretty fast". We were speechless. What a rude and tacky comment for a waiter,or anyone to make. This same server did not offer us a second cup of coffee or if we wanted anything else, because he was too busy having personal conversation with two women friends of his seated at another booth. It gets better. When we went to pay, he had the nerve to tell us where to put his tip, even though we did not ask and had no intention of giving him a cent. Thanks to this buffoon, we will never set foot in this place again.

So I'm a huge fan of Denny's back home in California. My friends and I were coming back to Las Cruces from Little Bit of Texas. Everyone else in the car had suggested IHOP but I wanted to try Denny's here in Las Cruces at about 2:43am on July 19th, 2015. So I have been a waitress for four years back in California. I know that customers need to be seated properly. But ever since I moved to Las Cruces, I suffered from the shock of customer service in town. If no one comes to greet you, you seat yourself. Or if I ever have to ask, waiters and waitresses here in town looks at me weird and tell me that I get to seat myself. So there were three staff at the front register who did not acknowledge my party of four that came in. What did I do? Seat myself. For the next 7 minutes (yes I had to time my favorite place in the world to compare service at this location to back home), waiters and waitresses will look over to table and ignore us. My friend finally called out to this waiter nearby who glanced at us and turned around to walk back to the front register, "Excuse me! I'm so sorry but were we suppose to wait to be seated?". The waiter (his name is Eli) responded, "Yes, that's why I haven't served you guys." I don't know how the staff is trained here. But all my past experiences back home have trained me well. Customer service is what leads to upkeeping the name of the restaurant, the integrity, respect, bringing in tips, etc. No matter what, you are paid to do your job and that is to providing great customer service. Customer is always right in this industry. And to have a server fire back at you with that attitude? So I had lost my appetite. Heart is crushed because I grew up loving Denny's and have always enjoyed their customer service back home. My friend apologized again for us having seated ourselves while I was thinking about if three staffs had seen us walk in, they could have taken 10 seconds out of their time (which is being paid for) to let us know that we needed to be seated by one of the servers. But could they do that? No they had too much pride or was too busy with their conversations to do so. They apparently didn't need our money nor did they care about our customer satisfaction. So now it's time to order. I'm here with three international friends and they ask what Eli would recommend. Eli says the "skillet" is good so my friend asked, "I'm sorry, what is a skillet?" Once again, I don't know how management is here but the rude Eli snickered and my friend responded, "I'm sorry. I'm not from America." TELL ME WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS? THERE'S A REASON WHY YOUR LOCATION IS GOING DOWNHILL WHEN GRAM CENTRAL STATION IS NOT OPEN! Because besides decent food, you can't even offer decent customer service which customers PAY for. Without customers, how do your servers get paid? We are not obligated to tip either for such ridiculously rude service! Thank god Eli was off and Andrew took over. I already had enough of Eli standing all arrogant with his slouch and hand on his hip. And that nasty attitude of his. Andrew's smile was all I needed. When my friend had a story to tell, poor Andrew would stand there and listen til the end and ask if we needed anything. Then smile as he tells us to enjoy. So yes I tipped but if I had Eli serving me all night? No I would never have tipped. I will also never return to this location again and will most definitely give IHOP a try next time instead.
